- Bookings open today, 18 August
- Deliveries are expected to begin in October
The Skoda Octavia RS is making another comeback to India, but this time, only 50 units will be available. Bookings for the performance sedan open today, 18 August, with deliveries scheduled to start in October.
For enthusiasts, the Octavia RS has always been an interesting proposition. It combines the practicality of a spacious family sedan with a more powerful engine, sharper handling and the distinctive RS treatment, making it one of the few performance cars that can comfortably double up as an everyday car.
The current Octavia RS is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 265bhp and 370Nm. It can sprint from 0-100kmph in 6.4 seconds and has a claimed top speed of 250kmph. It also gets RS-specific styling, sports seats and a sportier chassis setup.
The limited allocation means buyers will have to act quickly, particularly given the strong demand for previous Octavia RS allocations in India.
Kodiaq RS Sold Out for the Year
Skoda's other performance-oriented model, the Kodiaq RS, has already been sold out for this year. This latest Octavia RS allocation therefore gives enthusiasts another opportunity to get behind the wheel of a Skoda carrying the RS badge.
With just 50 cars coming to India, the Octavia RS is likely to remain a rare sight on our roads. For enthusiasts looking for performance without giving up everyday usability, that could make this comeback particularly interesting.
