Skoda India launched the updated Kushaq yesterday. Although the SUV remains mechanically unchanged, it gets some cosmetic and feature enhancements. Here’s a photo gallery, offering a closer look at the updated iteration.

Up front, the facelifted Kushaq gets a new front end, and it is strikingly similar to the one found on its sub-4m sibling, the Kylaq. A full-width segmented light bar runs through the grille. The SUV also gets black wheel arch and side claddings, and roof rails. The Monte Carlo edition also gets two red accents on the bumper, and dedicated badges on the quarter panels.

The alloys are redesigned. These are 205/55 R17 Ceat SecuraDrive units. The Monte Carlo edition gets red brake callipers.

At the rear, the Kushaq gets a segmented and connected tail-lamp setup. The Skoda logo is also illuminated.

The Monte Carlo has signature red accents at the rear, too, for example, the red ‘I’ in the 1.5 TSI badge. It is also distinguished by a dedicated Monte Carlo badge.

The Kushaq gets a 491-litre boot, which can be expanded to 1,400+ litres with the rear seats folded.

Head inside the cabin, and the sense of space is enhanced by a much-coveted dual-pane panoramic sunroof.

The dashboard area gets a 10.25-inch instrument cluster, and a 10-inch infotainment screen. Front seats are powered and ventilated. There’s also a two-spoke steering wheel. In this Monte Carlo edition, a few red accented bits act as distinguishing elements as opposed to the vanilla version.

Towards the rear, we can see buttons for the first-in-segment feature – rear-seat massage function. There are two USB-C ports, too.

Although there are a few functional enhancements, the facelifted Kushaq skimps out on 360-degree cameras and ADAS. The new Kushaq also gets a new variant nomenclature - Classic+, Signature, Sportline, Prestige, and Monte Carlo, out of which, the latter is the top-of-the-line trim. Note that all other special editions have been discontinued.
