Skoda India recently released a teaser of the upcoming Kushaq facelift. The mid-size SUV will receive a proper refresh after its 2021 market entry. With a segment that’s hotter than ever, we expect the new Kushaq to receive more functional upgrades rather than a complete cosmetic overhaul. While the carmaker only showed a veiled vehicle, it slightly outlined the front end.
The Kushaq facelift has been spied on multiple occasions. While the silhouette remains largely similar, the front and rear ends will get a change in their appearance. The front end is likely to be inspired from the existing Kylaq, and this includes a sleek lighting setup, changed grille, and blacked-out alloys, the latter of which has been sighted on wrapped test mules. The rear end will also change, but it looks like a connected tail-lamp setup has been implemented this time around. Our spy shot also showcases what seems to be a panoramic sunroof, and the same is largely likely to make its way with the production-spec vehicle, given its popular demand.

Feature upgrades are likely to include a larger infotainment, front seat ventilation, more buttons in lieu of capacitive controls (case in point, capacitive buttons for climate control), 360-degree camera, and Level 2 ADAS (missing in the existing iteration).
Mechanically, as with the majority of facelifts, the Kushaq facelift will mostly mirror its existing iteration, carrying over the same 1.5L (148bhp/250Nm) and 1.0L (114bhp/178Nm) turbo-petrol motors paired with manual, torque converter automatic, and dual-clutch transmission systems.
