The highlight of the new Kodiaq vRS is its 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged engine, which produces 265bhp, an increase of 20bhp over the previous Kodiaq vRS. The engine’s torque output of 400Nm is the highest among current combustion-powered Skoda production model. Power distribution to all four wheels is handled by a seven-speed DSG transmission and all-wheel drive.
The Kodiaq vRS has a chassis set-up that is oriented towards driving performance. The SUV features Skoda’s DCC Plus Dynamic Chassis Control, which extends the range of damping characteristics. DCC Plus offers 15 settings ranging from comfortable to sporty and continuously adjusts the dampers. As for braking, the Kodiaq vRS gets ventilated front and rear brake discs and larger two-piston calipers on the front axle.
