- Customer touchpoint expansion in the pipeline
- Will launch the new-gen Superb in CY2025
Skoda India is eying at its next big growth story from tier-2 and tier-3 locations, joining a large list of manufacturers looking beyond the big metros for new car buyers. The manufacturer currently has 260 customer touchpoints across 150 cities, and is looking to expand this to 350 touchpoints across 200 cities by the end of this calendar year.
The biggest catalyst for this growth is the launch of the Kylaq, a model that has allowed Skoda to duck under the Rs. 10 lakh limbo pole. This has, by its own admission, brought in many new buyers who had previously not had the brand on their radar due to it not being in this price bracket. What’s more, with the automaker confirming that it is evaluating CNG with its turbo petrol engines, a potential for further volumes could be realised from cost-conscious buyers in these locations.

On the product front, the Kushq and the Slavia will both get facelifts this year. The next-generation Superb and the new Octavia RS performance sedan will also be added to the premium portfolio.
