- Diesel selling significantly higher than petrol
- Facelift could launch in 2026
Mahindra's sales charge for January 2026 was led by the Scorpio range. This comprises both the Scorpio N as well as the Classic, and a total of 15,442 units were moved in January 2026 as compared to…wait for it…15,442 units in January 2025, making it the top-selling model for Mahindra a year ago.

What's more, the automaker sold 14,863 units of the diesel models as compared to 679 units of the petrol-powered models, the latter only on offer for the Scorpio N. It was a similar story in January 2025, where they sold 14,075 diesel-powered Scorpios as compared to 1,367 petrol units in this time period. One major factor working in the Scorpio’s favour is that there are two models with a bigger concentration of diesel-powered models. In second place was the Bolero with 11,841 units, and the XUV 7XO diesel range with 7,247 units sold. The latter was launched at the start of January, alongside the XUV 3XO electric. The Scorpio and the Scorpio N are expected to get a facelift this year, and both models will see a higher number of features alongside a revised exterior design.
