- Four dual-tone colour combinations introduced
- Each shade gets a matching interior theme
Range Rover has added a new personalisation option to its Bespoke programme, called duo-tone fade, reserved exclusively for buyers of the range-topping SV. Rather than a conventional two-tone paint job with a hard demarcation line, this finish blends one colour into another starting at the roof and bonnet and working its way down into the body sides and rear.
Buyers get four ready-curated combinations to choose from, each pairing an Obsidian base with a contrasting upper tone. Colours on offer include Velvet Depths, Sunstone Lustre, Ashen Amaranthine, and Nacre Allure. Each exterior pairing also comes with a matching duo-tone interior theme.
Range Rover says that getting the fade right is apparently a fairly involved process. The base colour is applied first, followed by the second tone, and then blends the two together by hand rather than relying on machine application. Range Rover hasn't put out a price for the option, since Bespoke commissions are typically quoted on a case-by-case basis.
The SV remains Range Rover's most focused version of the flagship SUV, available with either a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 mild-hybrid petrol producing 537bhp and 750Nm, or a fully electric powertrain with a claimed range of up to 600km. It's also the only variant in the Range Rover line-up eligible for the Bespoke programme.
