- Final Piece of Nissan Launch Puzzle
- Sister Model from Renault to Arrive in Similar Time Period
Nissan has confirmed that its three-row SUV, that will find a place above the Tekton, will be launched in India in early 2027. This will be the final piece of the puzzle that Nissan began building in mid-2024 with the launch of the X-Trail SUV and subsequently a facelift for the Magnite.
This three-row D-SUV is expected to bring in hybrid power and be a sister car to an equivalent Renault model that will be launched in India around the same time. As revealed by Nissan, the car will be produced in India and be exported for both RHD and LHD markets, indicative of bigger plans from their Indian plants. The Dacia Bigster/Renault Boreal are some indication of what's coming in this premium space, giving hints of size, presence, and possibly even a basic feature list.

Nissan and Renault's approach to move upward is a marked difference from manufacturers like Maruti, Hyundai, Tata, and Kia, all of whom have been trying to introduce premium sub-compact models or more features in their current range of sub-compact models. These SUVs will be the Alliance's answer to the likes of the petrol-powered Hyundai Alcazar, Kia Carens Clavis, Mahindra XUV700, and the MG Hector Plus.
