- Expected to get 1.0-litre, 1.3-litre, and 1.8-litre turbo motors
- Interior unlikely to change
The Nissan Tekton is set to officially debut on 9 July, 2026. Prior to the same, wrapped test mules of the Nissan Terrano’s spiritual successor have been spotted testing. This time around, the sighted test mule still carries the camouflage from earlier sightings.
Based on the same platform as the current Renault Duster, the Nissan Tekton will get a changed front, and a different front and rear lighting setup (inspired from the Patrol SUV). Alloys are expected to be redesigned. The rest of the silhouette will remain more or less identical to the Duster.
Inside, a dual-screen setup (top-spec), Qi 2 wireless magnetic charging pad, wirelss connectivity, rear AC vents, drive modes, Level 2 ADAS, and 360° cameras are expected. Mechanically, the same 1.0-litre, 1.3-litre, and 1.8-litre engines from the Renault Duster are likely to be carried over. We have also seen a warm response to the upcoming Nissan Tekton. This might be Nissan’s shot at redeeming itself in India.
