Nissan India launched its SUV, the Tekton, at a base price of Rs. 10.49 lakh. This SUV sits in the mid-size space, and it is a sister car to the Renault Duster. With respect to its powertrains, there is unfortunately no hybrid in the powertrain matrix.
Engine Options
The Nissan Tekton gets two engine options - 1.0-litre and 1.3-litre turbo-petrol units. The smaller engine is called T160, and the larger unit is called T280.
T160: 99bhp/166Nm output, 6MT system, 19.4kmpl
T280: 161bhp/280Nm output, 6MT (17.8kmpl) and 6DCT (18.5kmpl) systems, DCT paired with a wet clutch.
Colours
There are 11 shades in total, six of which are mono-tone, and five are dual-tone. Mono-tone colourways include Pearl White, Blade Silver, Onyx Black, Flare Garnet Red, Moonbow Gray, and Indigo Blue. Dual-tone colourways include an Onyx Black complementing all five mono-tone shades, barring Onyx Black.
Much like the Renault Duster, the Nissan Tekton gets a 10.1-inch infotainment, 10.25-inch instrument cluster, identical gear selector dials, simular side profiles but with changed alloys, and changed front and rear ends. Nissan also says a physical switch for variable ADAS configurations has also been included. Bookings have started for Rs. 21,000, with deliveries scheduled to start on 20 July.
