- Will be launched in 2026
- To be produced at the Renault-Nissan Alliance plant
More details revealed
Nearly a year after giving us the first teaser, Nissan has revealed the first-ever image of its new C-SUV that will come to India in 2026. This will be a sister car to the next-gen Renault Duster and will be produced at the automaker’s alliance plant outside Chennai not just for India but for the global market too.
The pictures reveal a silhouette similar to the third-generation Duster but with a new face and a slightly more muscular stance as compared to its French sibling. The picture also reveals large wheels, pillar-mounted ORVMs and a sloped rear roofline.
There are no details of the cabin or powertrains but we expect it to have the same feature list and engine options as the Duster. The latter means a 1.3-litre turbo petrol or 1.2-litre mild-hybrid petrol both of which will come to India.

Nissan’s growth engine
This SUV will play a huge role in Nissan’s future in India as it will be their return to the C-segment SUV race. It is currently the most active and fastest growing section of the market with massive volume potential, something Nissan desperately needs to further its market share in the sub-continent.
Triber-based MPV
Also visible in the pictures is a Renault Triber-based MPV that will wear the Nissan badge. This has been some time in the making and will be another shared model between the two manufacturers. The Triber is due for a facelift later this year with a new-gen vehicle in 2026. The Nissan MPV is expected to give a glimpse of what the next-gen Renault MPV could offer.
