- Price hike across the range
- Expected to be repositioned next year
The price of the Nissan Magnite has been hiked by Rs. 1000 to Rs. 3000. The hike has been spread across the range and covers both AT and MT variants across both engine options. However, our sources have revealed that while a majority of the hikes up to Rs. 3000, one specific variant- the Tekna petrol MT dual-one- has been given a much bigger hike of Rs. 6500, a significant leap over the rest of the range. What’s more, this price hike also excludes Visia, Visia Plus and Acenta CNG trims in both MT and AMT guise.

The Magnite for the longest time, was Nissan’s one-man army in bringing customers to the showrooms but has now been joined by the Gravite MPV, Tekton and X-Trail SUVs in limited numbers. It is available with two petrol engine options, and both get MT and AT powertrains and in the case of the NA petrol, CNG power too.

Like its sibling, the Kiger, the Magnite too will be repositioned once Nissan launches its version of the Bridger sub-compact SUV and will instead become a rival to the likes of the Tata Punch, Hyundai Exter, Maruti Swift, Hyundai Grand i10 and its own siblings- the Renault Triber and Gravite MPV.
