- Prices start at Rs. 5.65 lakh
- CNG version also in the works
Nissan India recently launched the new Gravite MPV at a starting ex-showroom price of Rs. 5.65 lakh. Following its market introduction, the new seven-seater has now started arriving at dealerships across the country.
The Gravite is essentially Nissan’s version of the Triber and is positioned as an affordable, sub-four-metre MPV targeted at large families. It carries Nissan’s signature V-motion grille, a reworked front bumper, revised headlamps, and subtle cosmetic changes to differentiate it from its Renault sibling. The overall silhouette and dimensions, however, remain identical to the donor model.
Inside, the Gravite offers a three-row layout with flexible seating options. The third row can be removed entirely to free up additional boot space, making it a practical choice in its segment. Key features include an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity, a digital instrument cluster, steering-mounted controls, push-button start, and electrically adjustable ORVMs.

Powering the MPV is a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine that produces 72bhp and 96Nm. The motor is paired with a five-speed manual and an AMT gearbox. Nissan is also working on a dual-tank CNG derivative, which will broaden the Gravite’s appeal among cost-conscious buyers and fleet operators.
With units now reaching showrooms, customer deliveries are expected to commence shortly. The Gravite competes with entry-level MPVs and hatchbacks in a similar price bracket, offering the added advantage of seven seats at an aggressive starting price point.
