Second Sub-compact vehicle under its new plan
Sister car to the Renault Triber

Glimpses of the Nissan Gravite's interiors have been revealed ahead of its debut on 17 February. As expected, it is an all-black cabin with beige inserts in the doors. The teaser video also reveals that the car will get a digital instrument cluster, chrome inserts in the dashboard, steering-mounted controls, and a folding third row which we suspect, like the Renault Triber, will be removable for van-like capacity.

The new teaser also reveals projector headlamps and that the car will be offered with AMT and MT powertrain options. This engine in question is a 1.0-litre NA petrol producing 72bhp and 96Nm. Like Renault, we expect Nissan to offer a CNG option right from the launch and this will be fitted at the dealer level but with official Nissan backing.

The Gravite is Nissan's second sub-compact and will go up against vehicles like the Renault Triber, Maruti Swift, Tata Punch, Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, Hyundai Exter, Tata Tigor, but also sedans like the Honda Amaze and the Maruti Dzire. It is expected to be priced at a premium over the Triber.
