The Hyundai Creta facelift will get dimensionally larger, and with a Pleos Connect infotainment tablet. A wrapped SUV was recently spotted in Manali, following a previous sighting that showed it loading in a truck. This looks like the last phase of the Creta’s testing, wherein it may be undergoing high-altitude validation.
The new Creta, from its international spy shots, also had 19-inch tyres. However, the India-spec version seems to have unchanged sizes, but the alloys are taken from the Kia Seltos. The Pleos-based tablet is the main highlight, given that it is a part of the SDV (Software-Defined Vehicle) ecosystem. This won't lead to a compromise in the number of buttons, thereby enabling core functionality without the learning curve.
The Creta facelift is also confirmed to get a multi-link rear suspension. A stalk-based drive selector, AKA shift by wire, will also witness a trickle-down effect from the electric. The upcoming version is not expected to change mechanically, but the ride quality, given the change in suspension, should improve. The Creta Electric could also be facelifted, following the ICE car, and we expect the latter to make use of an LFP battery pack, shifting from the current-gen’s NMC unit.
