- Gets refreshed design and new features
Volkswagen India has commenced production of the updated Taigun at its Pune facility, ahead of its official debut scheduled for 9 April. Notably, the images shared with the announcement fully reveal the facelifted SUV, showcasing all the design updates ahead of launch.
The Taigun facelift will replace the existing model, bringing along revised styling and feature upgrades. The updated SUV sports a new lighting signature with sleeker LED headlamps and connected elements, along with reprofiled bumpers, updated tail lamps, and two fresh alloy wheel designs (Standard and GT variants), giving it a more modern appearance.

Inside, the Taigun is expected to receive a new digital instrument cluster, updated upholstery, and a longer feature list, including enhancements to the infotainment system. Many of these updates are in line with those seen on the Skoda Kushaq facelift.
Under the hood, the Taigun will continue with the 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre TSI petrol engines. However, the 1.0-litre unit is expected to be paired with a new eight-speed automatic gearbox, replacing the existing six-speed unit, while the 1.5-litre engine will continue with the seven-speed DSG transmission.
