- To be offered in petrol and CNG powertrains
- Will be launched alongside the updated Tiago EV
Tata Motors has revealed the new Tiago ahead of its official launch on 28 May, where prices will be announced. The updated hatchback gets a thorough makeover both inside and out, and will be launched alongside a revised version of the Tiago EV on the same date.
On the outside, the new Tiago is a significant departure from the outgoing model. The front end draws clear inspiration from the Altroz, giving the Tiago a more grown-up, family resemblance within the Tata lineup. The headlamps are sleeker and fully LED with integrated DRLs, and the bumper gets a blacked-out treatment along with small fog lamps on its lower half. Sporty touches come in the form of a blacked-out roof, shark fin antenna, and matching ORVMs. The alloy wheels are new as well, now sporting a dual-tone finish. Even the funky red shade appears to be borrowed from the Altroz's colour palette.

At the rear, the redesign is equally comprehensive. While the tail lamp treatment mimics a connected look, the lamps are not physically linked, instead, the rear features a mix of horizontal and vertical sporty elements that give it a fresh, more contemporary appearance. In terms of dimensions, the Tiago is expected to remain under four metres with a wheelbase of around 2,400 mm, unchanged from the current car.
Interior details are yet to be officially revealed, but camera units visible on the ORVMs and front bumper confirm the presence of a 360-degree camera system, a first for the Tiago. The cabin is expected to get a revised instrument cluster, a larger infotainment screen, and a refreshed interior theme.
Mechanically, no changes are anticipated. The new Tiago is expected to carry forward the existing 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, available with manual and automatic gearbox options. A CNG variant is also expected to continue in the lineup.
