- Will share its underpinnings with the new Duster
- Expected to arrive with three powertrains
After introducing the Gravite sub-four-metre SUV for the Indian market earlier this year, Nissan is working on its next product for the local market, the Tekton. The spiritual successor to the Terrano, the Tekton is slated to make its debut on 9 July, and will rival the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Tata Sierra, Renault Duster, Kia Seltos, Maruti Victoris, Volkswagen Taigun, and the Skoda Kushaq.

In terms of design, the new Nissan Tekton SUV is expected to get L-shaped LED DRLs, LED headlamps, dual-tone alloy wheels, chunky skid plates, new grille, LED tail lights, LED light bar on the tailgate, roof rails, shark-fin antenna, and Tekton lettering at the rear.

Inside, the 2026 Tekton is likely to boast a panoramic sunroof, ventilated and powered front seats, dual-zone climate control, ADAS suite, large touchscreen infotainment system, coloured driver’s display, rear AC vents, wireless charging, and drive modes.

Under the hood, the model, which shares its underpinnings with the new Duster, could arrive with 1.0-litre and 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engines paired with manual and automatic gearboxes. A larger displacement hybrid version is also expected to be on offer, although it could arrive later.
