- First batch sold out in 24 hours
- Priced at Rs. 58.50 lakh, ex-showroom
The all-new Mini Cooper Convertible has received an overwhelming response in India, with the first batch selling out within just 24 hours of its launch on 12 December, 2025. Introduced as a completely built-up unit, the convertible was priced at Rs. 58.50 lakh, ex-showroom, and demand far exceeded initial expectations.
Following the strong initial response, Mini India has now opened bookings for the next phase of deliveries, scheduled to begin early next year.
In terms of design, the new Mini Cooper Convertible stays true to the brand’s classic styling cues. It features LED headlamps with three selectable light signatures and rides on 18-inch aerodynamically optimised alloy wheels, offered in Slide Spoke two-tone and Flash Spoke two-tone designs. The black fabric soft top can be fully opened in 18 seconds and closed in 15 seconds, and can also be partially opened by up to 40cm to function as a sunroof, even while on the move.
Inside, the cabin adopts a clean and minimalist layout inspired by the classic Mini. The centrepiece is the circular high-resolution OLED touchscreen, called the Mini Interaction Unit, which combines the instrument cluster and infotainment system. Features include the Intelligent Personal Assistant, a head-up display, Mini Digital Key Plus with smartphone integration, and a Harman Kardon surround sound system.
Powering the Mini Cooper Convertible S is a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine using Mini TwinPower Turbo technology. It produces 201bhp and 300Nm of peak torque, enabling a 0–100kmph sprint in 6.9 seconds and a top speed of 240kmph.
With the first batch already sold out, the Mini Cooper Convertible has clearly struck a chord with enthusiasts looking for a premium, open-top driving experience in India.
