- Will be a proper facelift
- Could be unveiled early in 2026
The new generation of the BMW 3 Series has just gone into development and will take about a year and a half to arrive. Now, we have a glimpse of one that has been delayed longer than expected, the next-gen Mercedes C-Class. The car has already completed its first four years of life, but not a single camouflaged prototype has been seen until now.
Judging from the camouflage, changes will be made to the front bumper as well as the grille. Changes will also be made to the inner graphics of the headlights. Like other Mercedes models, the C-Class will feature daytime running lights in the shape of the brand’s logo – the three-pointed star. But don’t be fooled by the lack of camouflage at the rear. As with other Mercedes models, the rear end is also undergoing a facelift, except that the developers are not working on it yet. We have seen a similar practice with the GLE and GLS facelifts.

Mercedes will also improve the perceived quality of the interior with new materials that will be nicer to touch, but there will be no overhaul in design. The C-Class will feature a revised MBUX system and new safety and comfort features, inherited from its bigger siblings. Mercedes will not make any major changes to the mechanicals either, only simple optimizations to reduce fuel consumption and emissions, by working on the ratios of the nine-speed automatic transmission. The Mercedes C-Class is expected to be unveiled in early 2026 and go on sale later that year.
