- New Z-Series three-cylinder engine is the biggest highlight
- Prices start at Rs. 6.10 lakh
Maruti Suzuki recently launched the all-new Baleno facelift at an introductory price of Rs. 6.10 lakh (ex-showroom). With the update, the Baleno gets a few cosmetic upgrades and a major mechanical change that makes the new hatchback more efficient on paper. Following its launch, the new Baleno has started reaching showrooms across the country, with the full price list yet to be announced.

The exterior highlights of the new premium hatchback include a new three-layer chrome grille that adds visual mass to the front, along with the same LED headlights as before. The fog lamps have been slightly revised, while an ADAS module and a 360-degree front-facing camera are integrated into the grille.

The side profile and rear, however, remain largely unchanged. The Baleno also gets a new colour called Enigmatic Teal, which resembles the classic Nexa Blue offered across the Maruti Suzuki Nexa range, albeit with a subtle teal tint.

Inside, the changes include ventilated front seats, leatherette upholstery, a slightly revised dashboard layout, a Level 2 ADAS suite, a wireless charger, rear AC vents and Type-C charging ports. The new Baleno also becomes the first model in its segment to be offered with ADAS technology.
Mechanically, the Baleno gets the 1.2-litre Z-Series three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, which is also offered with the Swift and Dzire. It produces 82bhp and 112Nm of peak torque and is paired with a five-speed manual or an AMT gearbox.
