The new-gen Dzire was launched in India in November last year, with prices starting at Rs. 6.79 lakh (ex-showroom). The sub-four-metre sedan has now witnessed its first price hike of up to Rs. 10,000, based on the variant.

The VXi AMT and the ZXi AMT variants of the Dzire have become dearer by Rs. 10,000, which is the highest increase for the model. This is followed by the ZXi+ AMT, ZXi CNG MT, VXi CNG MT, VXi MT, and the LXi MT, all of which receive a uniform upward revision of Rs. 5,000.

Notably, the prices of the new Maruti Dzire’s ZXi+ MT variant remain unchanged. The Hyundai Aura and the Honda Amaze rival is now priced from Rs. 6.84 lakh to Rs. 10.19 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom). For the uninitiated, the fourth-gen Dzire scored top honours at the BNCAP crash test.
