- Priced at Rs. 2.79 crore
- Available only in the first year of production
Jaguar Land Rover announced the arrival of the Defender Octa in India earlier this week. Priced from Rs. 2.59 crore (ex-showroom), it is essentially a more rugged, hardcore, and an off-road-biased version based on the standard Defender. What is the Octa First Edition then? Read on to find out.

The new Defender Octa First Edition is a limited-edition run based on the Octa, which is a special edition in its own right. There are a few distinguished elements inside and out that set this one apart though.

Available only in the first year of the Octa’s production cycle, the Defender Octa First Edition features an exclusive new Faroe Green paint theme. Complementing this are the chopped carbon fibre inserts and detailing visible on elements such as the bonnet script, fender vent surrounds, and the bonnet vent surrounds. Also up for offer are 20-inch forged alloy wheels.

There is more uniqueness inside too, as the 2025 Land Rover Defender Octa First Edition boasts a Khaki and Ebony Ultra-fabric PU upholstery, which according to the company, is 30 per cent lighter than traditional leather. The chopped carbon fibre finish is carried over inside, where it is donned by the centre console trim and front seatbacks.

The rest of the details and specifications remain the same as the ‘standard’ Defender Octa. Under the hood, it gets a 4.4-litre, twin-turbo V8 engine, belting out 626bhp and up to 800Nm torque. Paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, it can go from standstill to 100kmph in just 4 seconds. Elsewhere, it gets 323mm ground clearance, 6D suspension setup, heavily reworked chassis components, and more, details of which you can read on our website.
