- Teased on multiple occasions
- Likely to feature a new hybrid powertrain
After a series of spy shots spanning the entire year, followed by multiple teasers over the last few days, Kia is almost ready to pull the covers off the next-generation Seltos in India. This unveil will also mark the global debut of the new-gen iteration of the brand’s mid-size SUV that will rival the Maruti Victoris, Tata Sierra, and the Hyundai Creta, among others.

The Kia New Seltos will feature an all-new design, including new front and rear bumpers, fresh grille, split LED DRLs, all-LED lighting, new LED light bar on the tailgate, and a fresh set of large alloy wheels. It is expected to be offered in GT Line, X-Line, and other additional variants.
Inside, the Kia New Seltos is likely to feature a new dual-tone, three-spoke steering wheel, large single-piece bezel on the dashboard that houses the 12.3-inch driver’s display and the infotainment system, new centre console, wireless charger, new HVAC controls, dual-tone upholstery, ambient lighting, ventilated front seats, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, and a sunroof.

While Kia remains tight-lipped regarding what lies under the hood of the upcoming Seltos, we will place our bets on the brand retaining the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol, 1.5-litre NA petrol, and 1.5-litre diesel engines paired with a range of transmission options. A new hybrid powertrain could also be on the cards.
