The Hyundai Venue and the Maruti Suzuki Brezza are two of the most popular compact SUVs in India. While the New Venue 2025 has just been unveiled, the Brezza continues with its proven 1.5-litre petrol powertrain, practical feature set, and Maruti’s trusted sales and service backup. Here’s how they compare when it comes to dimensions, features, engine specifications, and interiors.
Dimensions
New Venue now measures 3,995mm long, 1,800mm wide, and 1,665mm high. It has a 2,520mm wheelbase, which is 20mm longer than before. The Brezza has the same overall length at 3,995mm, but it is slightly narrower at 1,790mm. However, it stands taller at 1,685mm, and has a 2,500mm wheelbase. The Brezza’s boot capacity is rated at 328 litres, while Hyundai has not revealed the new Venue's bootspace. Overall, the Venue is wider and has a longer wheelbase, while the Brezza is taller.

Powertrain
The New Venue gets three engine choices. These include a 1.2-litre Kappa MPi petrol engine, 1.0-litre turbo petrol GDi engine, and a 1.5-litre U2 CRDi diesel engine. Depending on the variant, these engines are available with manual, automatic, or dual-clutch transmission options.
The Brezza, on the other hand, comes with a single 1.5-litre K15C petrol engine that uses mild hybrid tech in most variants. It produces up to 101bhp and 139Nm of torque. This setup is paired with 5MT/6AT systems. Maruti also offers the Brezza with a CNG option, which delivers 86bhp and 121Nm in CNG mode. The Brezza’s certified fuel efficiency ranges from 17.8kmpl to 19.89kmpl for petrol variants, and 25.51km/kg for the CNG model.
The Venue offers a wider engine range, including diesel and turbo petrol options, whereas the Brezza focuses on naturally aspirated petrol and CNG choices, with mild-hybrid assist for efficiency.

Interior and Comfort
Inside, the Venue features a dark blue and grey cabin theme with leatherette upholstery and a textured dashboard. The key highlight is a dual 12.3-inch curved display that integrates the infotainment and digital instrument cluster. The Venue also offers an electric four-way adjustable driver’s seat, two-step reclining rear seats, rear window sunshades, rear AC vents, and ambient lighting.
The Brezza uses a black and brown interior theme with silver accents. It is equipped with a nine-inch infotainment system. Higher variants get convenience features such as automatic climate control, wireless charging, rear fast-charging USB ports, cooled glove box, and a telescopic steering adjustment. The Brezza also includes 60:40 split rear seats, rear AC vents, and a flat-bottom steering wheel.

Variants and Colour Options
The new Venue adopts a completely new variant nomenclature: HX2, HX4, HX5, HX6, HX6T, HX7, HX8, and HX10. It is available in six monotone and two dual-tone colour combinations. The Brezza, in contrast, is offered in LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi+ variants with both manual and automatic options. It comes in seven monotone colours and three dual-tone combinations.
