- Mechanically to remain unchanged
- Interior could get major overhaul
Honda is gearing up to introduce the new-generation City in India on 22 May, 2026. Ahead of its official debut, a fresh render based on a recently leaked spy picture gives us a clearer idea of what the upcoming sedan could look like in production form.
The render showcases a significantly evolved design language for the new City Facelift. Up front, the sedan gets a sleeker fascia with slim LED headlamps connected by a blacked-out grille element. The bumper has also been redesigned with larger air intakes and sharper creases, lending the car a more premium and futuristic appearance.
In profile, the silhouette remains familiar to the outgoing model, although the new version appears to feature a lower stance and cleaner surfacing. The render also depicts new dual-tone alloy wheels and slightly revised proportions, giving the sedan a sportier road presence.
The recently leaked spy image had already hinted at Honda moving towards a more minimalist styling approach for the next-generation City. This render builds upon those details while imagining the production-ready design in a more realistic manner.
While Honda has not yet revealed technical specifications, the new City is expected to continue with the same petrol and strong-hybrid powertrain options. Feature additions could include an updated ADAS suite, larger infotainment screen, ventilated and powered front seats, refreshed cabin layout, and enhanced connected car technology.
More details regarding the specifications, features, and variant lineup will be revealed closer to the official launch.
