The next-generation Audi Q3 has been teased for India ahead of its official debut on 25 August. This is the third generation of the SUV and arrives with a completely new exterior and interior design, as well as a new feature list.
The overall silhouette of the Q3 has been retained. Still, with a new face, new wheels and a new interpretation of the German automaker’s rectangular tail lamps complete with a connected light bar and illuminated Audi logo. The interior gets new digital displays, a revised centre console and the new Audi steering wheel, and in fact this will be the first of Audi’s new generation of vehicles to set foot on Indian soil.
Under the hood will be Audi’s familiar 2.0-litre TFSI producing 188bhp and 320Nm. This engine is mated to a seven-speed DCT and will get AWD/quattro as standard across the range. We also expect the Sportback version to follow the regular by the end of this year. This new Q3 has its work cut out as it will up against a new generation of the BMW X1, which will be launched in an ICE LWB guise for the first time on 21 August. It also goes up against the Mercedes-Benz GLA and also cars like the Hyundai Ioniq 5, BYD Sealion 7, and Kia EV6.
