- Revision of up to 2 per cent
- Company cites rising input costs, among other factors
Following suit after Mercedes, JSW-MG Motor India has confirmed its plans to increase the prices of its cars, with effect from the new calendar year. This is an update that is expected to be rolled out by most, if not all brands as part of their annual updates.

According to official details, MG will revise the prices by up to 2 per cent, and this will be applicable to its entire range of models sold in the country. The carmaker is expected to announce the model and variant-wise price revisions early next month.

In typical fashion, the price hike, applicable from 1 January, 2026, is being undertaken due to rising input costs and other macroeconomic factors. It remains to be seen if the company revises the prices of the Hector facelift, an update for the mid-size SUV that was launched earlier this week. With this update, MG temporarily discontinued the diesel variants of the model, with a re-introduction scheduled to take place sometime in 2026.
