- Three off-road modes
- Twin-turbo diesel motor
JSW MG Motor India recently teased terrain modes for the Majestor SUV. Set for a 12 February unveil, the Toyota Fortuner rival will get multiple off-road modes to go head-on with the segment leader.

The MG Majestor will get three off-road modes – Rock, Sand, and Snow. These images also showcase large profile tyres – 265/65 R19 Apollo Apterra HT dual-tone alloys. In a recent teaser, the Majestor was also seen taking on Nagaland’s Mount Japfu, which is the state’s second-highest peak.

The MG Majestor will be positioned as a Toyota Fortuner rival. While the latter churns out 201bhp/500Nm via its 2.8L diesel motor, the former takes horses a notch higher, resulting in a total power output of 213bhp/478Nm via a 2.0L twin-turbo diesel motor. Set to sit above the Gloster, the Majestor could very well sit in the Rs. 40-45 lakh price bracket, seemingly undercutting the segment leader. While the Fortuner is all about drivability, the Majestor, in addition to off-road capabilities, is highly likely to benefit from a large infotainment with wireless connectivity, Level 2 ADAS, panoramic sunroof, and automatic climate control.
