JSW MG Motor India appears to be in the final stages of preparations for the launch of the MG Majestor, which is expected to arrive in the coming weeks, likely in February. The latest spy shots reveal what seems to be a production-ready version of the SUV, indicating that its market introduction is now imminent.
First showcased at the Bharat Mobility Expo last year, the Majestor will sit at the top of the Gloster lineup and feature distinct styling updates to set it apart from the standard model. The test mule reveals a bold new front fascia with a redesigned grille finished in chunky square chrome elements. The lighting setup appears to be split, with the DRLs positioned higher up near the bonnet and the main headlamp units mounted vertically on the bumper. The vehicle spotted was finished in white with contrasting black ORVMs, which also house a 360-degree camera setup. Although partially camouflaged, the alloy wheels reveal a five-spoke design.
At the rear, the MG Majestor gets connected LED tail lamps along with ‘Morris Garages’ lettering across the tailgate. The Majestor badge was also visible beneath the camouflage, confirming the model identity. Interior details remain under wraps for now, though the top-spec positioning suggests a revised cabin theme and additional features over the standard Gloster.
Under the hood, the Majestor is expected to carry forward the familiar 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine from the higher Gloster variants. This unit is tuned to deliver 213bhp and 478Nm of torque and is paired with a torque converter automatic transmission and a four-wheel-drive system, reinforcing its flagship status in the lineup.
Once launched, the MG Majestor will rival premium three-row SUVs such as the Toyota Fortuner Legender and the Skoda Kodiaq in the Indian market.
