- Based on the Gloster SUV
- Gets a revised exterior and interior over the Gloster
JSW MG Motor India is working on bringing the new Majestor SUV to India. This new full-size SUV is based on the Gloster and will be priced above the latter. The model made its India debut at the Bharat Mobility Expo earlier this year.
Now, the MG Majestor was spied completely undisguised, hinting at a launch, expected to happen in the coming months. Design-wise, the Majestor SUV gets a refreshed fascia with an even bolder stance than the Gloster. Similarly, the rear profile also features a redesigned look, adding to the overall styling of the SUV.
Some major design elements include chunky skid plates, blacked-out grille, vertically stacked headlamps with DRLs, dual-tone alloy wheels, connected tail lamps, and dual exhaust tips. Inside, the Majestor will feature a new dashboard layout with a large infotainment system, all-digital instrument cluster, redesigned HVAC panel and aircon vents, and revised centre console layout.
Mechanically, the MG Majestor will retain the same 2.0-litre, twin-turbo diesel engine, paired with an eight-speed automatic gearbox and a 4x4 system as standard. The MG Majestor will rival the Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian, Skoda Kodiaq, Nissan X-Trail, and the Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line in the SUV segment.
