Mercedes-Benz’s 2018 Auto Expo line-up revealed

The 14th edition of the Auto Expo opens its gates on 11 February 2018. Mercedes-Benz today revealed their product lineup for the Auto Expo. And there are some expected and unexpected surprises in the Three-Pointed Star’s portfolio.

First up, there will be the uber luxurious and opulent Mercedes-Maybach S650 saloon gracing its presence at the Merc’s stall. It will be joined by a futuristic Concept EQ of the forthcoming electric sub-brand of the German carmaker. Mercedes will also showcase the practical and spacious version of the E-Class, the all-new E-Class All Terrain. This E-Class station wagon is promised to make its Indian debut later in 2018.

Mercedes-AMG, the high-performance division, will bring in the 2017 Formula 1 winning race car to the podium along with the hardcore Beast of Green Hell, the AMG GT R. Also on display will be an array of vehicles including GLC43 AMG Coupe and SLC43 AMG, the E350d, C-Class Cabriolet and C250d Edition C. The SUV line-up includes GLA 220d 4MATIC, GLC 220d, and the GLS 350d.

The Mercedes-Maybach S650 will spearhead Mercedes’ 2018 model offensive at the Expo. Apart from the product line-up, the Stuttgart-based carmaker will also showcase and AI-based Chatbot. The Bot will be able to answer customer questions regarding Mercedes-Benz products using artificial intelligence. It will also have an artificial reality based function which will further help with customer interactivity with the Bot. Mercedes-Benz will launch a completely new official website for both MB India and all its dealers at the Expo.

Roland Folger, Managing Director and CEO, Mercedes-Benz India, commented; “Auto Expo remains the much-awaited event in the Indian Automotive Industry and we are glad to be associated with it. Mercedes-Benz’s participation in the 14th Auto Expo is a reiteration of our commitment to our customers, to the market, and also a manifestation of our support to the government’s vision of ‘Make in India’. Auto Expo gives us a distinct opportunity to showcase our exciting range of new products and technologies to our discerning customers and brand enthusiasts, whom we are committed to fascinate. In addition to an array of fascinating global products, we also will showcase some of the best products we make in this country, in Pune.”
