Mercedes-Benz CLA Urban Sport has been launched in India in petrol and diesel engine options. The CLA 200 Urban Sport is priced at Rs 35.99 lakhs, while the CLA 200 d Urban Sport is priced at Rs 36.99 lakhs (both, ex-showroom India). Changes are limited to cosmetic and feature upgrades while mechanically it continues to be powered by existing engine options.
To distinguish it from the regular model the CLA Urban Sport gets Thermotronic two-Zone AC that offers individual climate comfort for driver and front passenger, carbon-style rear spoiler and a new cosmos black exterior paint scheme. The trim also comes equipped with ‘Sport’ branded floor mats, ‘Sport’ illuminated door sills and a ‘Sport’ badge.
Under the hood, the petrol version continues to be powered by a 2.0-litre engine that generates 181bhp of power at 5,500rpm and 300Nm of torque at 1200rpm. The petrol version is capable of sprinting from 0-100kmph in 7.1-seconds and has a top speed of 240kmph. The diesel version gets a 2.2-litre engine that generates 134bhp of power at 3600rpm and 300Nm of torque 1600rpm. The diesel version sprints from 0-100kmph in 9-seconds and has a top speed of 220kmph.
