Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolet launched: Top five highlights

Further expanding the Mercedes-Benz product lineup in the country, the premium car manufacturer has introduced the C-Class Cabriolet. This update comes in shortly after the updated C-Class was introduced in India. Retailing for a price of Rs 65.25 lakhs, here below are its top five highlights –

The newly launched C-Class Cabriolet gets a striking front end design complete with the sporty bumper and a diamond grille. The Cabriolet gets multibeam LED headlamps with pixel-specific beam range and coverage control. The premium German car manufacturer has introduced two new metallic paint finishes – mojave silver and selenite grey and one special paint ‘designo selenite grey magno’. The vehicle sits on stylish 17-inch five-spoke light-alloy wheels.

The interior features an all-new superior open-pore walnut trim along with the optional 64 colour ambient lighting.  The cabriolet gets a 10.25-inch media display screen with new generation telematics. The vehicle gets a new generation steering wheel with touch control buttons to access multiple functions. The vehicle also offers Smartphone Integration, which supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The C-Class Cabriolet is available in a single C300 variant. It further gets the all-new M264 petrol engine which is compliant to the BS-VI standards. This 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine produces 258bhp and 370Nm and is mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission sending power to the rear wheels. The vehicle is capable of sprinting from 0-100kmph in just about 6.2 seconds.

The Cabriolet also comes with Mercedes’ special equipment called the AIRCAP system which noticeably reduces the airflow in the interior when the top is folded down. The company offers a lucrative cost of ownership which starts at Rs 67,000 for a period of two years.

For the same price, customers can also consider buying the Audi TT or the Volvo V90 Cross Country.
