- GLC EV unveiled in 2025
- VLE to be revealed on 10 March
Mercedes-Benz recently announced a 12-product offensive for the Indian market in 2026, starting with the EQS and GLS Maybach Celebration Editions, which will be followed by the CLA BEV. Further launches on this lineup are expected to include a mix of sedans, SUVs, BEVs, and AMG vehicles, but the automaker has also hinted that the new GLC EV and the production-ready version of the new-gen V-Class concept were on MB India's radar as future launches.

One Name, Multiple Powertrains
The GLC EV, unveiled in 2025, is an all-electric version of the automaker's very successful mid-size SUV. It follows the same design, but with an electric core, sitting above the EQA in their lineup. The ICE GLC has been one of the automaker's most successful cars in India, and adding an EV in the same vein looks like a logical progression. What's more, the automaker has hinted that it is seeing much bigger success for its top-end vehicles, thus the GLC (in EV and ICE guises) could be a good future entry point for those looking to jump into the three-pointed star universe.

Celebrity Status
The VLE, in its production guise, will be unveiled on 10 March.Just an overall look at the concept vehicle gives you an idea of what Mercedes is going for in the production version. Like the GLC and the GLC EV, the VLE and its ICE sibling, the VLS, will offer seats for up to eight people, and in the case of the former, offer a claimed range of up to 1,100km. Much like many of its segment rivals, Mercedes is seeing the potential for adding the 'S' to a wider range – the VLS. Such a vehicle also has good potential in India, especially among the celebrity and political classes, whose demand has opened the door for multiple players across a wider price range. If a green light is given for both cars, then we could expect them in 2027, as they are yet to be launched in the LHD guise.

No Maybach Line
While the VLS and the VLE will join the elite Maybach club, the automaker has made it clear that there will be no Maybach line for lower models. The automaker has been offering its AMG Line kit for multiple models, but has made it clear that the Maybach name will only exist as a full model, thus being exclusive to the top end of its food chain.
