- Will spawn next-gen sedan, SUV and EV
- Could be launched in 2026
Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the Concept CLA-Class at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo. It's a preview of the automaker’s next-gen entry-level models and is expected to spawn a sedan, SUV, and most likely an EV too.
The major highlight of the Concept CLA is an 800V architecture affording the capability of fast charging at 250kW, a number yet to be achieved by any other manufacturer. Powertrain details are not fully revealed, however, the automaker claims that it is powered by a 235bhp RWD motor paired with a two-speed transmission.
Some of the major design highlights include a long hood with stubby boot, 20-inch wheels, fastback roofline, and completely redesigned headlamps. The car is expected to be larger than the outgoing model, offering a longer wheelbase and, hopefully, more headroom. It is also expected to feature the usual host of luxuries, including Mercedes' MBUX hyperscreen.
A global debut is scheduled for mid-2025. The car will then be introduced in India, which is expected to be one of the first markets to receive it in both sedan and SUV versions, probably by late 2025.
