Maruti Suzuki S-Cross hits the 1,00,000 sales milestone

- 1,00,000 S-Cross sold

- Has a 16 per cent marketshare in its segment

When the original S-Cross was launched with the Nexa brand, its sales numbers were unlike any Maruti and we mean that in a not so good way. But Maruti Suzuki has a knack of reading its customers minds and with a mid-life update, the S-Cross returned with a bang with a more aggressive design and more features. In fact the S-Cross has just crossed the milestone of 1 lakh cumulative sales.

Thanking the customers on the S-Cross milestone, Mr R S Kalsi, Senior Executive Director, Marketing & Sales, Maruti Suzuki said, “We are thankful to our customers for their love and positive response. S-Cross has clocked over 16% market share in its segment and has helped us delight customers looking for a premium offering from Maruti Suzuki. We have created a highly engaging ownership experience of the S-Cross by introducing many best in segment features which are further complimented by its bold design and premium interiors.”

With the 1.6-litre diesel discontinued, the S-Cross is now only sold with the tried and tested 1.3-litre DDiS engine making 90bhp and 200Nm of torque. The S-Cross gets 5-speed manual gearbox with no automatic or petrol engine option. The S-Cross goes up against the Hyundai Creta and the Renault Captur.
