- Affected cars manufactured between Dec 2024 and Apr 2025
Maruti Suzuki has issued a voluntary recall for 39,506 units of the Grand Vitara in India. The affected vehicles were produced between 9 December, 2024 and 29 April, 2025.
According to the carmaker, a potential issue has been identified with the fuel level indicator and warning light within the speedometer assembly. In certain vehicles, the system may not correctly display the fuel status, prompting the need for inspection and rectification.

Owners of impacted units will be contacted directly by authorised Maruti Suzuki dealerships. The faulty part will be inspected and replaced free of cost as part of the recall campaign.
Currently, the Grand Vitara range starts from Rs. 10.76 lakh and goes to Rs. 19.72 lakh, ex-showroom and is offered across three powertrain options and rivals SUVs such as Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, Skoda Kushaq, Honda Elevate, MG Astor, and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder.
