Maruti Suzuki has silently updated the Ertiga MPV, introducing a set of feature revisions without making a formal announcement. The changes are now reflected in the model’s official brochure, bringing added convenience and practicality for buyers.
Firstly, the rear roof spoiler has been redesigned. The new unit looks more protruding and comes with black inserts on both side curves. Importantly, it is now offered as a standard fitment across all variants. While the updated spoiler has been seen on customer cars for a while, Maruti has officially listed it only recently. Secondly, the second-row AC vents have been repositioned from the roof to below, behind the centre console. In addition, the third row now gets dedicated vents with blower speed control, placed on the right-hand side. Thirdly, Maruti has introduced Type-C USB ports - two each for the second and third rows, making it more convenient for passengers to charge multiple devices.
Despite these updates, Maruti Suzuki has not issued an official communication, choosing instead to roll out the changes quietly. The Ertiga remains mechanically unchanged and continues with the 1.5-litre petrol engine producing 102bhp and 136.8Nm, paired with a five-speed manual or a six-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. A CNG version generating 87bhp and 121.5Nm is also available, paired with the manual transmission.
