India’s largest carmaker, Maruti Suzuki, has revealed that it will be increasing the prices of its models yet again. Set to come into effect from the start of next month, this will be the second consecutive upward price revision in a timeframe of two months.
As per the official details, Maruti has decided to increase the prices of its cars owing to an adverse cost environment and inflationary burdens. The company further added that it has been making continuous efforts to mitigate the cost impact to an extent with the help of cost reduction measures.
The cost of Maruti’s cars is set to be hiked by up to Rs. 30,000. This will, of course, vary depending on the choice of model and variant. The Indian automaker increased the prices of multiple cars earlier this month, some of which include the e Vitara, Jimny, Baleno, XL6, Ertiga, Swift, Dzire, Invicto, and Fronx.
