- Launch delayed to September 2025
- Unofficial bookings are already underway
After an unexpected delay in its launch, the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara has made a public appearance. This time, it is not on a turntable at an Expo or in a completely covered camouflage form, but the car has been spotted undisguised in a Bluish Black exterior paint scheme.

While the launch of the brand's first electric SUV is scheduled to happen in September, select dealerships have already started taking unofficial orders couple of months ago. That said, the new e Vitara will be offered in 10 exterior colours - Splendid Silver, Arctic White, Opulent Red, Nexa Blue, Grandeur Grey, Bluish Black, Land Breeze Green With Bluish black roof, Splendid Silver with Bluish black roof, Opulent Red with Bluish black roof, and Arctic White with Bluish black roof.
Coming to the features, some of the highlights include a large touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 10.25-inch digital instrument panel, glass roof, ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, seven airbags, 360-degree camera, and a Level 2 ADAS suite.
Mechanically, the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara will be available with 49kWh and 61kWh battery packs, both paired with a single electric motor. The model is claimed to return a range of up to 500km on a single charge.
