Mahindra has released the first teaser of the updated XUV700. Christened as the XUV 7XO, the updated three-row SUV will be unveiled on 5 January, 2026, which is also when the carmaker will announce its prices. Last month, we brought to you leaked details for a trademark of the name XUV 7XO, hinting at Mahindra’s upcoming plans.

As seen in the teaser video, the new Mahindra XUV 7XO will feature a new set of dual-pod headlamps with inverted L-shaped LED DRLs, fresh LED tail lights borrowed from the recently introduced XEV 9S, and a new blacked-out grille with silver slats.
Previous spy shots of the 2026 Mahindra XUV 7XO have hinted at updates in the form of new alloy wheels, fresh design for the front and rear bumpers, three-screen setup, two-spoke steering wheel, and soft-touch elements on the dashboard.

Under the hood, the new XUV 7XO is expected to be offered with the same set of 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines, paired with six-speed manual and torque converter automatic units. Notably, Mahindra has confirmed that with the arrival of the XUV 7XO, the production of the XUV700 will come to an end. Test drives and bookings of the new model will commence after the price reveal.
