In a surprise debut, Mahindra has revealed the new XUV 3XO EV, with prices starting at Rs. 13.89 lakh (ex-showroom). The model, based on the brand's updated sub-four-metre SUV, replaces the outgoing XUV400 EV.
Compared to its ICE sibling, the new XUV 3XO EV features rose gold inserts for the grille, new 17-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, EV charging port on the left front fender, LED fog lights, and an EV badge on the tailgate. The red colour derivative also gets exclusive red inserts for the air dam.
Inside, the Mahindra XUV 3XO EV comes equipped with Level 2 ADAS, panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera, auto-dimming IRVM, 65W Type -C charging port, glove box with illumination and cooling functions, front parking assist, seven-speaker Harman Kardon music system with Dolby Atmos, and soft touch leatherette trims on the dashboard and doors.
Propelling the 2026 XUV 3XO is a 39.4kWh battery pack paired with a single electric motor powering the front wheels. This powertrain, which is claimed to deliver a range of 285km on a single charge, produces an output of 147 bhp and 310 Nm. It is offered in two variants, including AX5 and AX7L. Notably, deliveries are scheduled to begin on 23 February. The 7.2kW charger is optional, and can be availed at an additional cost of Rs. 50,000.
Its biggest rival is the Tata Nexon EV which offers a similar package but has a wider pricing bracket. Mahindra’s done this before with the XUV300 becoming the XUV3XO and the TUV300 becoming the Bolero Neo, a formula that works quite well for them. The automaker now has the XUV 3XO, BE6, XEV 9e, XEV 9S in its electric lineup.
