Mahindra’s XEV 9S will be offered in six variants bundled under four feature packs: Pack One Above, Pack Two Above, Pack Three, and Pack Three Above. Each pack builds upon the previous version, adding more technology and comfort-based features as you climb the ladder. Here’s a detailed breakdown of what each variant offers.
Pack One Above (59kWh and 79kWh)
Both battery options – 59kWh and 79kWh – fall under this pack, with the larger pack offering more power and faster DC charging. Driving-based features are generous, with multiple driving modes including Boost, single-pedal driving, multi-step braking regeneration, and cruise control. The 79kWh variants step up the game further with 180kW DC fast charging support. Other feature highlights include a panoramic sunroof, illuminated logo, bi-LED headlamps with DRLs, LED tail lamps, R18 wheels with aero covers, fabric upholstery, six airbags, all-wheel disc brakes, brake-by-wire tech, TPMS with individual tyre pressure display, rear sensors with an HD camera, and driver drowsiness detection.
You also get triple (12.3-inch each) screens, wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, 5G connectivity, pre-installed apps, wireless phone connectivity, and a six-speaker setup with built-in Alexa. In terms of practicality, the 9S gets sliding second-row seats, 60:40 recline function, height-adjustable driver seat, automatic headlamps and wipers, large 150-litre frunk with a drain hole, up to 527 litres of boot space, cooled storage, and fast Type-C ports.
Pack Two Above (70kWh and 79kWh)
The Pack Two Above trim brings in a stronger 70kWh battery option and refined performance with 180kW power. This pack also supports 160kW DC fast charging. Regeneration gets an additional Auto mode for a smoother driving experience. The interior steps up in both feel and tech. The cabin gets soft leatherette trims, leatherette upholstery, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. R18 alloy wheels replace the aero-covered units for a more premium look.
Safety goes up a notch with Level 2 ADAS that includes one radar and one camera, 360-degree view monitoring, front parking sensors, and a blind view monitor. The entertainment package also sees an upgrade with the inclusion of a 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system with Dolby Atmos, wireless charging in the front row, and an NFC key system, both via a phone and a key card. Other features include a six-way powered seat with manual lumbar, ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control, auto fold ORVMs, ORVM auto-tilt on reverse, and auto-dimming IRVM.
Pack Three (79kWh)
The biggest upgrade here is the adaptive suspension, which adjusts itself using real-time inputs. The lighting package becomes more pronounced with connected LED DRLs, sequential turn indicators, and a start-up lighting sequence. The ambient lighting also extends into the sunroof. Safety also moves up a notch with seven airbags (adding a driver knee airbag), Level 2+ ADAS with five radars and one camera, lane centring, emergency steering assist, blind spot detection, cross-traffic alerts (front and rear), front fog lamps with cornering function, auto booster lamps, and acoustic laminated door glass for added quietness. Technology gains continue with dual wireless chargers (front and rear) and air filtration with an AQI display.
Passengers in the second row get ventilated seats, power boss mode for the co-driver seat, snack tray behind the co-driver seat, second-row sunshades, and electrically deployed flush door handles. Passive keyless entry comes standard as well.
Pack Three Above (79kWh)
Pack Three Above sits at the top of the XEV 9S range. The tech package is powered by a Snapdragon 8295 processor paired with 24GB RAM and 128GB of storage, making the infotainment system one of the most powerful in its segment. AutoPark Assist joins the list of features, accompanied by video calling and drive video recording. Safety addition includes an AR HUD and driver and occupant monitoring system.
