After drip-feeding us with all kinds of information on its upcoming Born Electric range of EVs, Mahindra laid down all its cards with respect to the BE 6 and XEV 9e earlier this month. Now, the brand is set to open bookings from tomorrow.

The BE 6 is priced from Rs. 18.9 lakh, while the XEV 9e prices start at Rs. 21.9 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom). The new electric vehicles will be available in a range of colours and variants, and we have explained even the variant-wise features of these cars on our website.

Propelling the Mahindra XEV 9e and BE 6 will be 59kWh and 79kWh battery packs with a claimed range of up to 682km on a single charge. Additionally, the battery can be charged from 20 to 80 per cent in just 20 minutes with a 175kW DC fast charger.

These two EVs mark the fresh onslaught of Mahindra's new-age electric vehicles, and will soon be joined by the likes of the BE.07, BE.09, XEV 7e, and the Thar.e. The automaker is also working on an electric derivative of the XUV 3XO, which is expected to succeed the XUV400 EV currently on sale.
