A wrapped Mahindra XUV 700 has been spied on multiple occasions. While we were not certain of its underpinnings, given that the ICE iteration has a sneaky underbody exhaust, a recently surfaced photo confirmed an EV powertrain.
Mahindra hasn't officially hinted at an electric XUV 700/XEV 7e. The wrapped test mule was spotted charging this time around. The charging port is located exactly where the ICE XUV 700 had a fuel lid - the left rear quarter panel. We can also see rear sunblinds and changed alloys.
Powertrain Prediction
The Mahindra XUV 700 EV/XEV 7e will be likely positioned below the XEV 9e. While the elder sibling gets a 282bhp/380Nm motor paired with a 59/79kWh BYD Blade battery (LFP chemistry), the XUV 700 EV/XEV 7e may get a 250bhp/350Nm motor paired either with an LFP or a similarly sized NMC battery, given that the latter was used in the XUV 400, which is essentially derived from the XUV 300.
