- Sub-compact concept unveiled during the Freedom_NU event
- Likely to spawn an upgraded XUV 3XO
Mahindra’s Freedom_NU event showcased futuristic concept designs on 15 August, 2025. As we reported earlier, the slew of changes it brings in, are quite intriguing, making it a looker. Derivatives based on this concept will be underpinned by Mahindra’s new-gen NU_IQ modular platform that’s designed to support both ICE and electric powertrains, as well as all body styles and LHD and RHD configurations, all of which highlight the carmaker’s global aspirations. Here’s a photo ensemble, showing the concept in all its glory.
Up front, we can see one of the many Mahindra logos. This one is particularly seen with its ICE models, hinting at an ICE derivative. There’s C-shaped DRLs, split headlamps, X-shaped grille, and a silver skid plate.

The side profile bears a dual-tone shade, with gloss black accents running through the squared-off wheel arches. There’s also flushed door handles, black roof rails, and a chrome garnish.

Inside, the cabin previews ambient lights and an overall cockpit design. There’s also a sports steering with the Mahindra logo, and a dual-screen cluster that looks borrowed from the BE 6. It could likely be sized at 12.5 inches. We can also see two cup holders and a wireless charging pad. Unlike the BE 6, there’s no airplane-inspired gear lever here. It looks like this will also spawn an EV.

To the rear, there’s a connected LED tail light bar, integrated spoiler, silver inserts, and a silver skid plate. The dual-tone paint scheme is carried over.
