- Production from 2027
- LHD models also planned
From what we have seen in recent spy shots, the wrapped Mahindra Vision S looks production-ready. Showcased as concepts on 15 August, 2025, we know that the NU_IQ platform these SUVs are based on, is a modular one. This means that the platform can accommodate a sub-four-metre SUV, as well as a full-sized unit.
The most recent spotting comes from the narrow lanes of Mussoorie, and based on everything seen so far, a diesel powertrain is confirmed for the Vision S, based on an AdBlue cap sighting. This means active and parked DPF regeneration will also be available. Given the platform’s modularity, an EV is also probable. Externally, an open grille with multiple vertical slats, Thar headlights, dedicated fog lights, camera- and radar-based ADAS modules are seen.
The Vision S has also been sighted with a tailgate-mounted spare wheel, which means that the compact SUV will have a side-hinged door. Production will start in 2027. LHD models will also be produced for target markets, with export-spec models set to roll off factory lines in 2028.
