A wrapped single cab version of the Scorpio N-based pickup has been spied on several occasions. Recently surfaced spy shots give away a few hints of what the double cab version would look like. As with the previous silhouettes, the design is strikingly similar, barring a reduced space for the cargo bed.
The wrapped Scorpio N-based pickup gets a seemingly longer wheelbase, flat bonnet, squared-off wheel arches, and a set of makeshift headlights, the latter we believe is a distraction from the actual design. Additionally, the double cab version shows a set of halogen lights at the rear. Steel wheels, likely sized at 18 inches, are mutual to both single and double cab versions. The pickup may get a higher ground clearance and a longer wheelbase as compared to the Scorpio N, and we speculate that steel wheels are purposefully used in lieu of alloys, given their higher rigidity across various terrains.
Physically and mechanically, the Scorpio N-based pickup will likely be built atop a ladder frame chassis, optional 2WD and 4WD selection, and a proprietary terrain management system. It is also highly likely to get mechanical and brake-locking differentials. The pickup may get the same 2.2-litre diesel engine as the top-spec Scorpio N, which is rated to churn out a maximum output of 168.5bhp and 400Nm torque. Additionally, MT and 6AT systems may be offered across the board.
