Mahindra introduced its range of Electric Origin SUVs, the BE 6 and the XEV 9e earlier this year in the Indian market. Now, within a couple of months of launch, the automaker has registered an impressive collective sale of 3,196 units in February 2025.
The order books for the BE 6 and the XEV 9e were opened last month. The automaker hit a new high by accumulating over 30,000 bookings of the electric SUVs on the first day itself. While the BE 6 is available at a starting ex-showroom cost of Rs. 18.9 lakh, the XEV 9e is being offered with an asking price of Rs. 21.9 lakh (starting ex-showroom). Both models offer three variants: Pack One, Pack Two, and Pack Three.

Coming to the powertrain and battery packs, there’s a 59kWh or a 79kWh unit bundled with both the models. As for the range, the long-range version is rated to deliver a claimed driving range of up to 682km on a single charge. In the market, the competition for the BE 6 and the XEV 9e include the MG ZS EV, BYD Atto 3, Tata Curvv EV, and the Hyundai Creta EV.
